St Ignatius Green Movement
In his second encyclical letter, 'Laudato Si, On Care For Our Common Home', Pope Francis calls all people of the world to take "swift and unified global action" toward caring for our Common Home in his writing.
Responding to his call, our Church has formed a new ministry which is called St Ignatius Green Movement.

Our mission is to:
-
Promote and create awareness about Laudato Si’ and about what is happening to the earth by our actions
-
See God in creation and collaborate in the care of our Common Home
-
Initiate change for ourselves, our families and for the common good, toward a sustainable future.

Our goals are to:
-
Identify what we can do to be more sustainable individually, in our families and as a parish
-
Ecologize all ministries in the parish to create greater awareness of Laudato Si’, about the need to take urgent action about the climate crisis and to incorporate Laudato Si’ for ecological spirituality
-
Grow our Gardening Group community to tend our parish community garden spaces in caring for God’s creations
-
Incorporate ecological education including “Laudato Si’” in all church formation programmes especially Catechism and RCIA
