The Parish is calling all parishioners to be united in prayer for the thousands of Rohingya refugees. A Prayer Awareness Display will be at the Place of Gathering from weekend 7/8 October to 21/22 October 2017.
Do drop by the display and put your prayers up on the Prayer Boards. Let us pray together for a successful and peaceful resolution of the refugee situation in Myanmar, along with other humanitarian crisis around the world.
"Mercy " said Pope Francis to GC 36 "is not an abstraction but a lifestyle consisting in concrete gestures rather than mere words. How do we manifest mercy in our lives?"
As a culmination of the Prayer Awareness Display, parishioners are invited to join a special reflection after mass at 6.40 pm on Tuesday, 17th Oct on these words of Pope Francis and what they mean in our own Faith journey and in the face of our suffering Rohingya brethren. Please come as a community to pray in solidarity with our marginalized sisters and brothers .The prayer session will end with Benediction.
Please note there will be NO Divine Mercy Prayer on Wednesday 18 October 2017 (Deepavali public holiday)
